at Darcy’s Place get mobbed by Pandas!
Darcy’s Place is a cafe and coffee shop frequent by students and walk-in customers. Aside from it’s friendly pricing on food and beverages of your choice, it offers a homey and cozy ambiance feeling. Give your thanks to the innocent yet playful stuffed toy panda sitting on a bookshelf, a somewhat grumpy look that’ll stare behind when you sit on a chair right next to it! Peek-a-Boo!
Darcy’s Place is a business concept endeavor coined altogether by Resident Chef Alvin Roxas and business partner Diane Erica Miñoza. Both started to knowing each other by their character name aliases in the online gaming world. Alvin’s pilot character a Panda, while Dianne an unknown character I forgot to name. As we conversed with Diane, she shared to us their online gaming adventures, when the time was right, they decided to meet up and soon their relationship flourished that laid the foundation of Darcy’s Place!
Darcy’s Place back then was at this old address at Door 4 Lucita Bldg, Lapu-lapu cor Sobrecarey St, Davao City, due to it’s public demand it moved out to a new spacious place, enough breathing room to fill in hungry foodies roam around at Damosa Gateway Lanang.

Surf and Turf – a T-Bone Steak loaded with potato wedges, shrimps, asparagus sprouts on the sides, the beef meat was somewhat tough to chew and slice with a knife, I suggest find ways to tenderize the meat, the asparagus looks dehydrated or dry.
Let’s check it out what’s cooking, let’s hear others have to say about Darcy’s Place:
Alysa of Madayaw Davao says:
This place is heaven for panda lovers. In addition to that, while waiting for you order, you can borrow their panda hat and take some pictures with yourself. It’s a cure to boredom.
Jonas of Davao City Guy says:
The second dish that was served to us is the Pan Seared Chicken with White Wine Reduction Sauce. This dish comes with Pasta Aglio Olio which is one of my favorite pasta dish to eat. The trademark of this dish that I’ll remember is the feeling of eating white wine in a form of this dish. Everything was perfect from the pan seared chicken to the pasta. The flavors were superb and would love to eat this one again!
Jimmer Ariate of Davao Eagle says:
Cream Dory with Apple Sauce. By far the most delicious dish we‘ve tried as the sauce was perfect with the cream dory. The flavors were in the dish and in harmony with other ingredients best paired with sliced veggies on the side. This would be a perfect lunch if ever you‘ll be in Darcy’s Place.
Over-all rating 7 out of 10!
