Summer vacation season is nearly here and if you’re like the majority of Americans you can’t wait to get out of town to enjoy some nice rest and relaxation, seeing some new sights and trying out some delicious new restaurants. Many people flock to the well known coastal islands of Hawaii or Florida for their summer trips, but most people don’t consider north carolina beachfront rentals. There are several beachfront delights in North Carolina that could make for wonderful family memories for many years to come.
Bald Head Island
One common vacation spot on the North Carolina coast is Bald Head Island. Taking a trip to this island means leaving your car (and your worries) behind, getting on a ferry and enjoying the quaint treasures that this community offers. There are several highly recommended restaurants to try out. There are also picturesque lighthouses, a championship golf course and Bald Head Island Nature Conservancy.
Carolina Beach Boardwalk
North Carolina also has its very own beach boardwalk! It offers everything from refreshing drinks in a local tavern to live music at an ocean view tiki bar. There’s also amusement park full of rides for people of all ages, an arcade and bike rentals. There are also several restaurants and snack shops, not to mention the delicious ice cream shops. North Carolina beachfront rentals and the Carolina Beach Boardwalk make for the perfect family vacation combination.
Carolina Beach State Park
If you want to spend more time in the great outdoors North Carolina has an incredible state park that’s located on Pleasure Island. It stretches over 760 acres and has opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, boating, canoeing and kayaking. It’s the perfect place for a family picnic.
Fort Fisher
Perhaps you want to include some historical information in your vacation, well, North Carolina has that too! Head to Fort Fisher State Historic Site to gather local history and you can even head into the local aquarium next door afterwards.
There really is something for everyone in North Carolina.
